Ohio Dominican University
Location
Columbus is a large city and is the capital of Ohio. Professional and college sport is a big part of people’s lives in the Midwest which means you have numerous opportunities to watch great sport. There are some great areas in Columbus that you can visit. The short north has some great restaurants and art galleries and downtown you will find minor league baseball and Ice Hockey as well as venues for live music and shows. Columbus is a very student friendly city but also has a lot more to offer to you are very unlikely to get bored in this city. Weather wise you tend to get every season with it being very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter. Make sure you pack your shorts and your thermals!
The University
Ohio Dominican University is situated around 3 miles away from Downtown Columbus. Due to it’s location ODU is a popular commuter campus but around 72% of first year students live in on-campus housing. Around 96% of the student population is made up from students in-state with only around 4% of students being from outside the state or abroad.
Academics
The most popular major studied at Ohio Dominican is Business and business related courses. The university offers degrees up to a Master’s level and has an honours program available to the highest achieving students.
